Dr. Paul Stokes M.B.B.S. (Hons) B.S.c. Med. (Hons) F.R.A.N.Z.C.O.G.

UNSW Sydney medical graduate with Honours - undergraduate research in embryopathology and embryo culture techniques. From 1982 worked in one of Australia's first IVF units in Adelaide and then in a UK fertility program. From 1987, established a private medical practice with special interest in infertility and diagnostic ultrasound. 1996 - clinical update at Monash IVF, Melbourne and introduction of IVF services to the Sunshine Coast through establishment of Coastal IVF at Maroochydore.

Dr Anders Faber-Swensson. F.R.A.N.Z.C.O.G, B.Med.Sci(Hons), B.Med, Master Rep Med.

Originally from Norway, Anders came to Australia to study medicine at The University of Newcastle where he graduated with honours. He subsequently moved to Queensland where he trained to become an obstetrician and Gynaecologist. Anders has a longstanding interest in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and has several publications in the field. He also holds a Master of Reproductive Medicine from the University of NSW, furthering his knowledge about infertility. Anders works both in private practice and as a staff specialist at Nambour General Hospital and is engaged as a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland training junior doctors and medical students in obstetrics and gynaecology. As a father of four young children, Anders understands the excitement and anxieties involved in starting a family from both a clinical and personal perspective. Anders consults at Cotton Tree, Selangor and Noosa hospitals and offers fertility treatment, obstetric care and gynaecological services including advanced laparoscopic surgery.

Jennifer Stokes R.N.

Jenny is a Registered Nurse who has worked in adult and neonatal intensive care. 15 years experience in private medical practice management. As well as general nursing responsibilities including surgical procedures in the unit Jenny is responsible for all administrative matters within the practice /fees/health funds etc.

Steph Brown

Steph came onboard as Practice Manager in 2016. She holds a Diploma of Practice Management and has worked in administration for the past 12 years with 9 years in private healthcare practices. With a background of employment in private hospitals and specialist practices, Steph has extensive knowledge in dealing with Medicare, Private Health Funds and hospital eligibility. Steph’s role is to be responsible for financial advice to patients about the IVF practice and will provide the individual fee schedule in advance of a treatment cycle. She is available to provide advice to patients who may experience difficulties in claiming procedures with Medicare and health funds.

Peter Jackson Dip.M.L.T., Dip. M. L. T. (Bact).

Peter is a University of Rhodesia medical laboratory technology graduate with more than 30 years’ experience in IVF. Peter managed IVF laboratories in South Africa and the UK before settling in Australia where he managed IVF laboratories at both Monash IVF and Melbourne IVF. He relocated to the Sunshine Coast in 2002 as the Director of Embryology for Coastal IVF. Peter has a special interest in gamete and embryo micromanipulation. He is a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction (ESHRE), the Fertility Society of Australia (FSA) and Scientists in Reproductive Technology (SIRT). Peter is also a Senior Lecturer at the University of the Sunshine Coast, lecturing in the Clinical Embryology course of the Biomedical Science degree.

Rine Frouws/Registered Psychologist BA Hons (Psych) MA Couns Psych MAPS ANZICA

Rine is a Registered Psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society, the Psychology Board of Australia, the Australia and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association (ANZICA) and the Fertility Society of Australia. She has been a Psychologist for nearly 15 years after completing her Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology in 1997 and has a special interest in fertility counselling, pregnancy and the postnatal period. Rine has assisted fertility patients as the main focus of her practice for the past five years and is available to provide patients with information about the emotional implications of fertility treatment, grief and loss often associated with treatment, relationship and social issues, and to provide ongoing support through pregnancy and the postnatal period.

Sarah Robinson R.N, R.M

Sarah has worked as a Registered Nurse for nearly 20 years.  She was awarded the Midwifery prize at the Australian CatholicUniversity for her clinical and academic achievements.  Sarah has experience working in a large tertiary hospital in all areas of midwifery (special care nursery, antenatal and postnatal wards, and birthing suites).  She held a senior position in the specialist area of Maternal Fetal Medicine and the Young women's outreach program.  Sarah has developed antenatal education programs for both public and private hospitals.  Sarah has a special interest in infertility and is responsible for liaising with patients regarding co-ordination of their care.

Sharon Dean R.N. / R.MM

Sharon has over 20 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse and Midwife. Sharon has extensive experience in all areas of Midwifery care and worked for 10 years as a midwife/registered nurse in the Northern Territory in both the hospital and community health setting. Sharon moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2003 with her family and has been working as a midwife at The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital and up until recently was a School Nurse at Pacific Lutheran College.

Erin Hawken R.N, R.M

Erin has had over 10 year’s nursing and midwifery experience, working in a busy Brisbane public maternity unit.  Erin worked as an IVF nurse Coordinator within a large IVF clinic in Brisbane over 2 years.  At Coastal IVF, Erin’s responsibilities included the co-ordination and the management of patient clinical cycles, and the liaison between the varied multi-disciplinary medical teams involved in fertility treatment.

Hayley has worked in administration for over 20 years with 16 in the private medical field. She is a long-term administration team member at Coastal IVF and is the first point of contact for all patients. Hayley will be able to answer your questions with regards to appointment availability, consultation costs and referrals.

Lauren joined the team at Coastal IVF in 2015 as the receptionist and administrative assistant for both Coastal IVF and the Coastal Women’s Health Clinic. Lauren completed her Bachelor of Nutrition in 2012 and is currently in the final year of her Masters In Health Promotion.
